The Basic Results for Production Workers

چکیده
In this chapter the results are presented of estimating eq. (3.9) under the expectational hypotheses discussed above. These basic results are discussed in detail in this chapter, and then inch. 5, using eq. (3.9) as a starting point, various hypotheses regarding other possible determinants of short-run fluctuations in the number of workers employed are presented and tested. The data used in this study are considerably more detailed than the data used in previous studies, and these data will be discussed first.
